Lukas Moodysson

Lukas Moodysson has both written the script and directed Fucking Åmål aka Show Me Love.

He was born January 17, 1969. Now he lives in Malmö with his wife Coco and child(ren). He actually moved during the production of Show Me Love.

Lukas Moodysson published his first poem collection when he was not older than 17 years. There was later more, and also a novel (Vitt Blod, 1989). He got his directing education at Dramatiska Institutet in Stockholm, where he made various short films.

His favorite film is Mike Leigh's Secrets & Lies. Lukas Moodysson is a vegetarian (like the writer btw.) and he's not afraid to express that, like he did during the Swedish Film Awards in 1999. He's a big fan of Morrissay (hence he's life motto below), and he would have wanted both him and The Smiths in Show Me Love, but it didn't work out.
